Not Your Normal Interview

These are the hands of GG Lil, Mark's grandma. She is 100, and we're thankful we live within walking distance of her. Carl, my 12 year old, interviewed her for a class project, and stayed by himself for a sweet visit. What a treasure to have on paper. He captured her humor and spunk beautifully, and I'm anxious to hear his classmates questions as he shares. The biggest "gadget" of her lifetime was the invention of a car. I love that she and Grandpa Dick shared one with their brother-in-law. She talked about how amazing it was to feel the breeze in her hair as they drove. An exciting time was putting on new underwear and running through the city sprinklers. His interview put so much in perspective. It really is the little things.
